Who is responsible for product recall if the 30% grade has a safety issue?

In the event of a product safety or compliance issue, recall responsibility is defined by our FSSC 22000 / ISO 22000 recall procedure and governed by the signed commercial contract. The 30% grade is covered by the same recall protocol as all our products.

Responsibility Framework

  • Seller responsibility: If defect originates at our facility (spec, contamination, process), we manage and bear costs
  • Buyer responsibility: If issue arises from improper storage, handling, or repackaging downstream, buyer manages
  • Shared: We cooperate fully with authorities and provide traceability data within 2 hours of request

Because we maintain complete batch-level traceability (farm → extraction → enrichment → packaging), we can identify and isolate any affected lot within hours. We strongly recommend signing a Quality Agreement that specifies recall responsibilities before large orders.
