FAQ Header

What are the heavy metal limits and which testing standards apply?

Heavy metal testing is performed per batch and reported in the COA. All limits comply with the most stringent global food safety standards — US FDA, EFSA (EU), and Japan's MHLW. The 30% concentration does not affect the heavy metal profile — testing applies uniformly across all grades.

Heavy Metal Limits (Food Grade)

MetalUS FDA (ppm)EU EFSA (ppm)Japan MHLW (ppm)
Lead (Pb)≤0.1≤0.1≤0.1
Arsenic (As)≤1.0≤0.5≤0.1
Cadmium (Cd)≤0.1≤0.1≤0.1
Mercury (Hg)≤0.1≤0.1≤0.05
All batch test results fall within the above limits. For pharmaceutical or cosmetic applications, we can provide additional testing against USP <232>/<233> or ICH Q3D standards at a separate cost. Submit your target market and we will confirm the applicable specification sheet.
