Do you provide insurance for the shipment and what does it cover?
We offer Cargo Insurance for all shipments at competitive rates. Insurance is arranged through a marine cargo insurance provider and can be quoted as part of your CIF or DAP quotation.
Insurance Options
| Incoterm | Insurance Provided By | Coverage |
|---|---|---|
| FOB / CFR | Buyer arranges | Buyer's responsibility |
| CIF / CIP | Seller arranges | Seller arranges at buyer's cost |
| DAP / DDP | Seller arranges | Seller arranges, included in price |
Standard Coverage
Our cargo insurance covers:
- All Risks: Loss or damage from any cause (standard marine cargo coverage)
- Warehouse-to-warehouse: Coverage from our factory to your nominated delivery address
- War and strikes: Extended coverage available on request
- Breakage and moisture damage: Included in all-risks coverage
Insurance Cost
Insurance premium is typically 0.1–0.3% of the insured cargo value, depending on destination, transport mode, and coverage scope. For a USD 50,000 shipment, insurance would cost approximately USD 50–150.
To get an insured CIF quotation, provide your destination port, order value, and required coverage scope. We will include insurance in the CIF price — you pay the premium once, and the cargo is fully covered throughout transit.
